Built on Friendship,
Shaped by the Game

Ground Floor Golf was founded by business partners and friends, Ali and Andrew, based on opposite sides of the world, brought together by a shared love of business, golf and a belief that the game should be easier to access, enjoy, and grow.
Ali lives in Pakistan, right where the game is beginning to blossom — on the fairways, in the clubs, and among a new generation of curious, committed players.
Andrew is based in Scotland, surrounded by the deepest golf heritage and secondary equipment market in the world.
Together, Ground Floor Golf connects where golf began with where it’s going next — thoughtfully, personally, and with genuine care for the game

Ali's Bio

I first visited a golf course in Multan at age 9 in the late 1990s. A city in southern Punjab; Punjab is the largest province of Pakistan where my grandparents hail from and where my ancestors settled after the 1947 partition of the sub-continent.

One of my paternal uncles took me to the course in Multan for the first time. The next time he took me; I was spontaneously added to the kids’ putting challenge. I was at the right place at the right time.

In the first round I tied with 2 kids; all three of us took 2 strokes to sink the ball. The rest of the kids, about a dozen, were eliminated. I remember both of them went first and missed the puts; equalling their first round score.

I was the last to take the shot and did a hole in one. That was my first time playing the game. Hole in one as a 9 years old. Later in the day I was presented with a pack of sweets in front of a gathering of friends, members, and their families. Celebrated as a winner.

The love for the game and outdoor sports in general was developed very early in my life. Now (2026) in my 30s I am blessed to be in Karachi, where Golf is thriving, close to Gulmohar Golf Club where I am a member and have been playing regularly for the past 2-3 years. My best score so far is a 44-Gross on a 9-hole round at my home club.

Andrew's Bio

I was introduced to golf early — very early.

My grandpa bought me my first set of clubs when I was three years old, and that was the start of a lifelong relationship with the game.

I grew up playing with my Dad at the old UNGC course in Nicosia, Cyprus, before spending my teenage years fully immersed in golf back in Scotland. I fell completely in love with the game watching the Scottish Open at Loch Lomond in the late 1990s — and that love never really left.

As a youngster, I worked hard at my game, reaching a low single-figure handicap and shooting a career-best 69 gross at Haggs Castle — a round I still smile about.

Today, I’m based in Scotland, surrounded by golf history, great courses, and an incredible supply of quality equipment. Ground Floor Golf is my way of giving something back to the game — helping others start, improve, and enjoy golf with the right clubs and the right guidance.
